6 Ashes Riding Centre is ran by Kelly Cooling. Kelly has a huge amount of experience in equine matters.

Kelly started to learn her equine trade at the age of 10, trading mucking out duties for horse riding lessons.

Since then Kelly has gained a BSc in Equine Studies at the University of Aberystywth and has worked on a number of international eventing yards. Kelly takes a keen interest in the lastest Veterinary knowledge applying where possible, to ensure the horses have the best qualitity care and health. 

Kelly has a large amount of experience with young horses, having backed a number over the years. She also enjoys the challenge of project horses, bringing them back into the fold.

She will always put the horses welfare before anything else. So you can relax in the knowledge that your horse is well and safe at 6 Ashes Livery.

    Our stables are situated in the beautiful countryside of South Shropshire, only a stones throw away from the Clee Hills. There are many hacking routes and bridal ways around the yard. We also offer customers transport to the local Wrye Forest which has a number of beautiful bridal ways.

   We took the yard over as a riding school 5 years ago, but since then have turned our focus completely to livery. We are always looking to improve and upgrade the facilities at 6 ashes.

    The livery yard currently occupies 20 acres of good pasture land outside of Cleobury Mortimer. The yard is around 11 miles from Kidderminster and 12 miles from Ludlow, around 20mins each way.

    The yard has a number of rooms which liveries can keep tack, feed, boxes and spare rugs. Other facilities include toilets, kitchen, and office for a place to sit down and relax.

     There are an extensive number of bridelways around Cleobury Mortimer and the Clee Hill. Once on the yard we will be more than happy to show you our own more regular hacking routes.
